Why it matters (problem / aspiration).
Too many products still whisper “you weren’t invited.” Tiny barriers, unreadable colours, no captions, motion sickness triggers, quietly exclude millions. We believe good design is good manners, and it’s easier than you think.
Meet Jessica
Our Lived Experience Lead (team manager)
Jessica lives with Keratoconus, a progressive eye condition that thins and warps the cornea, distorting colour, depth, and sharpness. When she scrolls through a typical design file, icons can blur into smudges, low-contrast text can vanish, and motion effects can trigger eyestrain within seconds. Her perspective brings an authentic, human dimension to accessibility—grounded not in theory, but in everyday reality.
What to Expect in Our Sessions
In each workshop, Jessica demonstrates “real-world vision” using adaptive lenses and live screen filters to reveal exactly how a standard interface can disappear for someone with Keratoconus.
She shares practical fixes from adjustable type scales to motion-safe micro-interactions—and guides teams through quick changes that bring instant clarity. She also builds empathy through open Q&A, offering candid, first-hand answers about what helps and what hinders.
By combining Jessica’s lived insight with our actionable frameworks, we transform accessibility from a checklist into a memorable, human story that sticks with your designers long after the session ends.
